Customer of the Month: Colin Casey & The Saucer Detroit

Detroit, Michigan — a city known for grit, hustle, and creativity.

For Colin Casey, it’s also the place where his pizza journey began. Growing up in the neighborhoods of Detroit, Colin and his team dreamed of building something bigger than themselves and making it out of the hood in a positive way. Pizza became that path.

Inspired by legends like Chef Chris Bianco, Colin studied the craft, experimented endlessly, and poured his heart into every dough ball, every sauce, and every pie.

We're thrilled to highlight a true pizza pioneer, someone who has inspired an entire generation of wood-fired cooking: Chef Chris Bianco.

This June, we’re proud to feature James Berger and his family from Glen Burnie, Maryland, whose dream of building a backyard community gathering space was inspired by a small village in Uganda—and made possible with their Ventura Preto Premium oven.

Customer of the Month: David Kopel

We’re excited to introduce David Kopel, our Customer of the Month! David was born and raised in Randallstown, Maryland, and has been an entrepreneur since 1987.

He’s the founder of Legal Papers Inc., a private nationwide process serving company that’s been going strong for 38 years.

His wife, Ellen Pass Kopel, also boasts an impressive career. After graduating from the University of Maryland, she spent 33 years at ADP Payroll and has continued her journey in the industry with Payroll Network for the past 5 years.

At Authentic Pizza Ovens, we’re thrilled to honor Harris Pollock as our Customer of the Month for March! Growing up in New York and South Florida, Harris developed a deep appreciation for pizza and outdoor grilling, which has shaped his passion for creating unforgettable meals.

When Harris and his wife remodeled their backyard, they chose the Maximus Prime Pizza Oven to elevate their outdoor cooking. Perfect for their Sunday gatherings, it has become the centerpiece of their culinary adventures.
