Customer of the Month: Hunter & Katie
Throughout the years, Authentic Pizza Ovens have continued to grow in popularity elevating social gatherings, community events, and special occasions with the holidays being one of the most celebrated and joyous seasons of the year.
Thanksgiving is a holiday centered around food and is a time of reflection and recognizing what is the most important while catching up with family and friends.
The true and authentic experience of woodfired cooking cultivates families and friends bonding them together in one of the most traditional ways while creating lifelong memories that will last a lifetime.
We're thrilled to witness our customer base expanding, notably with the inclusion of Generation Z. Young professionals are increasingly drawn to cooking and home gatherings, finding a perfect match in our pizza ovens.
Authentic Pizza Ovens caters seamlessly to a diverse age range, from young adults to baby boomers. This month's featured customers, Hunter & Katie, exemplify the growing appeal of our ovens among Gen Z.
Where are you from and a little background information on you?
Hey there, it's Hunter and Katie! Phoenix is our hometown, and it's where our love story began. Our connection? Food, glorious food. We share an insatiable passion for it, and it's woven into the fabric of our lives.
Exploring new restaurants is a bit of a hobby for us. Whether we're strolling around our local food scene or venturing out on our travels, we're always on the hunt for hidden gems and unique flavors.
What's even more exciting is bringing those flavors back home. In our kitchen, we attempt to recreate the magic of the dishes we've savored, and it's quite a delicious challenge.
One of our more recent adventures is our little garden. It's our green sanctuary, where we nurture herbs, veggies, and more. Using our own homegrown ingredients adds an extra layer of satisfaction to our culinary experiments.
We're just a couple of food enthusiasts sharing our love for culinary exploration, whether it's a new dish at a local diner, an exotic find on our travels, or something fresh from our own garden.
Food brings us joy, and we can't wait to see where it takes us next!
Which oven did you choose and why did you choose an Authentic Pizza Oven?
Picking the Maximus red oven from Authentic Pizza Ovens was a well-thought-out choice driven by a bunch of reasons. We really dug into our research (you can check it out here), and it became clear that the oven's size and versatility were a perfect match for our pad and lifestyle.
Being in our mid-20s with a compact townhouse, the Maximus was like the Goldilocks of ovens – just right. It's not too big, not too small, and easily movable, especially with the stand.
It's the right size for our regular cooking needs, and it's a star when we have our 'friends' night shindigs. Plus, the red color? It's a total win. It fits seamlessly with our modern decor, adding a pop of style to our living space.
So, it's not just about cooking; it's a piece of art in our home. The price point was another thumbs-up. It didn't break the bank, and we've found ourselves using it even more than we initially thought.
What started as a handy kitchen tool has transformed our evenings. It's become the heart of our 'friends' night, and the wood-fired magic it brings to our cooking is simply addictive.
Did you build a setup or have someone else do it?
Adding 'The Woody' stand to our Maximus oven was a practical choice that improved our patio setup. You can check it out here.
Our patio's not the biggest, so this stand was a game-changer. It fits perfectly with our oven and the best part? It's got wheels. That means we can easily roll it out when we've got more folks over for some wood-fired pizza action.
Plus, those side trays are a nifty addition. They're super handy for prepping ingredients or setting down drinks and plates. No more shuffling stuff around and making trips back to the kitchen. It's like having a mini kitchen right there on the patio.
'The Woody' has become an integral part of our outdoor cooking setup. It's made our space more flexible and functional, and it just makes the whole pizza night experience that much smoother.
Whether it's just the two of us or a bunch of friends, we're all set for some delicious homemade pizzas under the stars.
What is your favorite thing to cook in your oven? And have you tried other foods besides pizza?
When it comes to our culinary adventures, pizza is the indisputable star of the show. Whether it's just the two of us enjoying a cozy evening or a bunch of friends coming over for a game night or dinner, pizza is the ultimate no-brainer.
It's a crowd-pleaser, and we can never get enough of experimenting with different toppings, from classic Margherita to creative combinations that keep us coming back for more.
But, here's the deal, we're bona fide foodies, and that means we're always up for trying something new. One of our favorite non-pizza meals is cast iron steak. We cook it to perfection with garlic, rosemary, and a side of roasted potatoes.
It's a one-pan wonder, and it never fails to hit the spot. There's just something about that sizzling steak and the aroma of roasted rosemary-infused potatoes that makes our taste buds dance.
Now, let's talk garden. We've got a little green corner where we nurture all sorts of deliciousness. One of our garden-inspired delights is eggplant parm, and let me tell you, it's Katie's absolute favorite.
The freshness of the eggplant and herbs from our garden takes this classic dish to a whole new level. It's comfort food with a garden-to-table twist.
With Thanksgiving around the corner, we've decided to switch things up this year. Instead of the usual, we're going for a slow-roasted turkey in the oven. Low and slow is the name of the game, and we're excited to see how it turns out.
We've heard it's a game-changer, so why not give it a whirl? Thanksgiving at home with a twist is always an adventure worth having. But it doesn't stop at savory dishes.
We've even dipped our toes into the world of bread-making. There's something deeply satisfying about kneading that dough, waiting for it to rise, and the heavenly scent of freshly baked bread filling our home.
Our latest venture is to try our hands at crafting desserts. We've got some sweet ideas brewing, and we can't wait to whip up delectable treats that will satisfy our post-dinner cravings.
The best part about our culinary journey is that it's a shared passion. We cook, experiment, and learn together. It's more than just making meals; it's about creating memories and savoring the joy of trying new things in the kitchen.
Whether it's a simple pizza night or an elaborate Thanksgiving feast, we're in it together, celebrating the pleasures of food and the bond it brings.
So, the kitchen is where we'll continue our delicious adventure, one dish at a time.
